Harmony litter…health research day!

 In Diary H Litter

Thanks to the cooperation of the owners of 6 of the 7 Harmony offspring living in the Netherlands,we have been able to carry out the required tests, hips, knees and eyes today.

Harmony offspring are now over 19 months old…a good age to submit to these studies there, especially for the hips and knees, the bones are now grown up. Also a nice opportunity to see each other, to feel the ‘little ones’, share fun and above all hilarious experiences before, during and after the research while enjoying some Brabantian delights.

For the eye examinations we had to divert this time to Vught, where Veterinary Specialists Ms. dr. Verbruggen praised the results of all 6 … she had never tested a Flatcoated Retrievers litter where they were all free, especially the Distichiasis!

The lunch we then enjoyed at the well-known Veterinary Dierenkliniek Den Heuvel te Best, after which the knees and hips were tested. All the great knees and the hip photos looked wonderful…these results follow later because they have to be judged by the Hirschfeld Foundation, but our naked eye has not been able to discover any rarities.

Thanks to all the owners who made this energetic day possible, only in this way we can continue to monitor our beloved breed in the hips, knees and eyes as best as possible for the breed! Jacqueline thanks again for the super nice toy… hope that this is also really Flatcoatproof 🙂

Of course I’m very proud of these beautiful results…congratulations to all the owners and of course to Kyoko and John Ross who own daddy Otis, daddy of this awesome litter.
