First a small introduction for those who are not aware of the annual Go With The Flow Walk…

In honor of Indy’s 10th birthday, it was Alies Oplaat who created this happening and organized it for the first time, a great idea. Thankfully Alies set this all in motion with the result that once a year some proud owners of a Go With The Flow offspring have organized a walk in which as many offspring as possible try to be present with their owners. Unfortunately it was not possible last year due to circumstances, but that lack was caught up this year by 30 people who were together by 25 Go With The Flow offspring and 2 exceptional Flatcoated Retrievers Jiglles and Scapa, the last being the shaggy friend of Alies and Oban, were accompanied.

3 Joyful owners had taken charge of 2019, Southern neighbors Ann Willems and Daniëlle van Looy together with Sonja Visser who lives in Holland. The ladies had taken care of everything, everyone received a name tag with the Go With The Flow logo on arrival, halfway through the walk a stop where we were treated to coffee, tea and the well-known delicious “home made” Belgian waffles from Ann and after the walk, of course, recover while enjoying a snack and drink. Due to the fact that 2 days later I would reach double 5 the place where we sat was completely decorated and there was a lovely photo cake of mine with Mason as a puppy…so lovely, warm and special to be pampered in this way to be laid, well….I really blew a tear away that I hadn’t seen coming!

Location Chaam turned out to be a great choice, the dogs are allowed to relax here and there is plenty of opportunity for them to swim. Opportunity to please the inner man afterwards in the presence of the dogs was also available and a great surprise for my birthday where I just couldn’t keep it “dry”!

Who would have thought 4.5 years ago that Indy would now be there when she was almost 14.5 years old and could walk and of course swim…thankful and blessed that she is still so vital and fully enjoyed it.

Thanks to the effort of Rudi Gerinckx, who not only made stunning pictures this day, but also filmed them all day, I can let you “taste” a piece of this unforgettable day by this special compilation…Rudi through this way again 1000 x thanks that not only your dearest Ann but you too have made an enormous effort. A memento that I will cherish in the length of days, partly because you have also captured Indy so beautifully.

Words to describe how I have experienced this day and look back on it are actually not … too many to mention, but certainly blessed that I am surrounded by so many lovely people and dogs.

Thanks to all who attended and made this possible and especially of course Ann, Gabriëlle and Sonja for the tight and pleasant organization but also Amber and Rudi who made sure that we are all d.m.v. the photos and film can step back for a long time and often in the moment of that wonderful day.
